Tell the State Department: NO US Intervention in Iran! NO More Weapons for Israel!

On April 17, the Israeli army withdrew from an eight-day military operation in Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza that left 520 dead, injured, or missing. The attack displaced Gazans-who were already living in a refugee camp-under the threat of their homes being bombed, and 14 towers, residential buildings, and dozens of homes were destroyed.

Biden has conveniently remained silent on this atrocity committed by the IOF but was quick to condemn Iran’s drone response to Israel on April 13. Biden is now sanctioning Iran as punishment for taking action against Israel’s violence, but this will inevitably lead to increased instability and escalation. Sign the petition below to the State Department to demand the US take their hands OFF Iran and stop sending weapons to Israel!

You can also take immediate action by calling the State Department at (202) 647-6575 (select option 8), and leaving a message with this script:

Hi, my name is ____, and I am calling to express my disapproval of any US intervention in Iran, including the sanctions recently announced by president Biden. The US continuing to fund and arm Israel as it commits genocide in Gaza and carries out targeted attacks on sovereign nations is an unstrategic move that will inevitably lead to a response. We are deeply concerned that the US government’s decision to continue to greenlight Israel’s genocide campaign in Gaza is putting us on track for another world war. It is more blatant than ever that in order to mitigate the threat of a regional war the US must not intervene in Iran and it must end all arms sales to Israel immediately. The US must also take significant action to ensure a permanent and immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Free Palestine and everyone affected by Israel’s violence!

Secretary Blinken,

We, the undersigned, are expressing our condemnation of any US intervention in Iran, including the sanctions recently announced by president Biden. The US continues to fund and arm Israel as it commits genocide in Gaza and carries out targeted attacks on sovereign nations. This nonstrategic move will inevitably lead to a response, as Iran has demonstrated. We are deeply concerned that the US government’s decision to continue to greenlight Israel’s genocide campaign in Gaza is putting us on track for another world war.

The State Department must recognize that this violence will continue to destabilize the Middle East as long as the US continues to arm Israel. It is not in the best interest of the US or the international community to allow Israel to continue to commit genocide with impunity. If we want real de-escalation, it’s crucial the State Department recognizes the true root of the problem–Israel’s genocide campaign in Gaza.

Despite this atrocity committed by the Israeli army, the US government has not made any statements about sanctioning Israel or even simply stopping US arms sales to Israel. This inconsistency in US foreign policy will ultimately lead to more violence and destruction.

It is more blatant than ever that in order to mitigate the threat of a regional war the US must not intervene in Iran and it must end all arms sales to Israel immediately. The US must also take significant action to ensure a permanent and immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
