Biden has conveniently remained silent on this atrocity committed by the IOF but was quick to condemn Iran’s drone response to Israel on April 13. Biden is now sanctioning Iran as punishment for taking action against Israel’s violence, but this will inevitably lead to increased instability and escalation. The State Department must recognize that this violence will continue to destabilize the Middle East as long as the US continues to arm Israel. If we want real de-escalation, it’s crucial the State Department recognizes the true root of the problem–Israel’s genocide campaign in Gaza.
