#FreeLoujain May 15, 2020, Social Media Day of Action

May 15, 2020 marks two years since the arrest of Saudi women’s rights activist Loujain al-Hathloul. She and other Saudi Women Human Rights Defenders have been subjected to human rights violations and multiple forms of torture, including electric shocks, flogging, waterboarding, and sexual assault. They have been deliberately denied due process. Now more than ever, during the COVID-19 pandemic, those who are arbitrarily detained and at increased risk, including Loujain, must be released.

Hundreds of thousands of people around the world are calling for Loujain's immediate and unconditional release as well as the release of all other Saudi activists being detained solely for their human rights work. Join the call by participating in a social media day of action.

U.S. residents: fill out this form at the bottom of this page to tweet directly at Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, demanding that he use his position to pressure Saudi Arabia to release Loujain.
