Calling all peace-minded Fargo residents: sign our petition to the Fargo City Commission members asking them to support the ceasefire resolution for Gaza!
The Fargo Human Rights Commission passed a ceasefire resolution unanimously, now the City Commission can pass it at the city-level. Send this petition to five other people who live in Fargo- we need all hands on deck!
Dear Members of the Fargo City Commission,
We, the undersigned residents of Fargo, North Dakota call on you to vote in favor of the ceasefire resolution for Gaza that the Fargo Human Rights Commission passed recently. You have repeatedly heard our concerns at City Commission meetings for the last few months, and as we progress into the fifth month of constant bombardment, starvation, and mass death our city needs to be clear in where it stands. We count on you to represent us as a city, to elevate our morals and values to state and federal figures who can affect change. Fargo can't stay silent on this issue, as hundreds of thousands of Palestinians quickly approach death by starvation. Not only do we have a human responsibility to care for people who are suffering -- but your residents have lost family members in this war. Some of you have met them and all of you have heard their stories. They, and everyone who signs this letter, wants you to pass a ceasefire resolution.
When the ceasefire resolution is brought to a City Commission meeting, we all ask you to vote in support. In twenty years when the world remembers these atrocities, we hope that Fargo will have stood on the right side of history and demanded with a loud and clear voice the need for an immediate ceasefire.
Please, vote YES on the ceasefire resolution.
Sincerely,
