No Apples for Genocide!

CODEPINK maintains a commitment to nonviolence in all of our actions. Read our statement of nonviolence here.

Apple, the technology giant, has long profited from its inhumane practices abroad. CODEPINK is uplifting the Apples Against Apartheid movement, and if you were thinking of buying the newest IPhone, here are a few reasons to rethink your decision:

  1. Apple has opened several research and development centers in Israel
  2. Donated over a million dollars to the ADL
  3. Has discriminated against employees for standing with Palestine
  4. Contributes to systemic abuses against the Congolese
  5. Has allegedly paid the full salaries of IOF soldiers committing war crimes in Palestine
  6. Has continued business in Israel despite it carrying out a large-scale genocide
  7. The company is another representation of the rise of techno-fascism all over the world

Please take a moment to sign this petition to pledge that you will hold the Apple corporation accountable for its unjust practices domestically and worldwide.

And after! Send a letter to Apple executives to hold them accountable and demand they end their contributions to political violence and genocide from Palestine to the Congo!

We, the undersigned individuals against occupation, demand that the Apple corporation be held accountable for its unjust practices domestically and worldwide. Apple has fueled imperial conquests all over the world, from the Congo to Palestine. From engaging in political repression to inhumane working conditions for mining material, Apple is engaging in dangerous behaviors that are slowly coming to light.

Apple corporation's link to organizations like Friends of the IDF and the Anti-Defamation League has been made entirely clear. Why is Apple aligning itself with genocide and occupation? As a company that prides itself on its vision to "make the best products on earth, and to leave the world better than we found it," Apple's actions are contributing to the exact opposite.

Israel has committed the most atrocious war crimes to Paleatinians for over 78 years, and in the last two years alone, has engaged in a full-scale genocide in Gaza. This is confirmed by scholars and experts all over the world. Why is Apple linked to allegedly funding Israeli soldier’s salaries? Donating to the Israeli military? Bolstering pro-Israel propaganda? Is death and destruction and ethnic cleansing one of Apple’s values -- is it leaving the world in a better place than how you found it?

In coordination with the Cook is Cooked movement, we demand that Apple be held accountable for its inhumane practices across the world:

  • Tim Cook steps down as CEO
  • An independent investigation about the chain of custody regarding precious minerals used in Apple products
  • Apple stops donations to the Friends of IDF and other pro-Israel organizations
  • Apple audits their Israeli employees' roles in the IDF for their complicity in war crimes
  • Lastly, Apple releases a statement about the starvation and slaughter of the thousands of Palestinians in Gaza.

Sincerely,
