On Tuesday, May 2, join CODEPINK Congress for the next Capitol Calling Party - ¡Viva Cuba y Venezuela! featuring Liz Oliva Fernández and Alexander Main.
A bipartisan group of senators recently introduced a bill to remove key parts of the U.S. embargo on Cuba, which has been in place for sixty years in a failed attempt to overthrow Cuba’s socialist government.
Might this bipartisan push–ahead of the 2024 election– lead President Biden to ease the embargo on the island nation?
Join CODEPINK Congress for a lively discussion on ending the Cuban embargo AND lifting US sanctions on Venezuela. Last year the Biden administration eased some of the oil sanctions on Venezuela and more may be lifted as the war in Ukraine drags on and the White House seeks support for its proxy war with Russia.
During our program, we will also share highlights from CODEPINK’s Latin America & Caribbean Policy Forum held in Washington DC.
