Webinar: MbS to be crowned king of Saudi Arabia — should the world be afraid?

Join us for webinar conversation between Ariel Gold and Abdullah Alaoudh to discuss the shifting sands in the house of Saud as the king's health declines and MbS is soon to take the crown,

Abdullah Alaoudh is a Saudi activist and senior fellow at Georgetown and Visiting Adjunct Professor at George Washington University. He is the son of prominent Saudi reformist Muslim scholar Salman al-Odah. In September 2017, Salman al-Odah "tweeted an innocuous message to his 14 million followers encouraging the government to end its diplomatic standoff with Qatar. A few hours later he was taken from our home by state security officials," writes Abdullah Alaoudh in the Guardian. His father "now faces the prospect of being executed on charges that include spreading corruption by calling for a constitutional monarchy, stirring public discord, incitement and “mocking the government’s achievements”.
