On Sunday, September 18, we will be screening “The War on Journalism: The Case of Julian Assange” by Juan Passarelli at the Cleveland Park Library. Following the film, we’ll have a discussion of the Assange case and its implications for an independent press. Experts on the issue will be with us to answer questions.
Great news! Consortium News is partnering with DC Action for Assange to make this event live online. That means you can join the discussion, via the chat, from home if you prefer. CN will embed the livestream on their website, and it can also be seen on their YouTube channel and their Twitter feed. This event will be recorded. Consortium News - YouTube
Confronting the Myths
Come prepared, virtually or in person, with your own questions. The 38-minute film is available free online (YouTube and Vimeo) and we encourage everyone to watch ahead of the scheduled event at their leisure and, hopefully, to join the discussion.
You are welcome to send your questions ahead of time to our email and we will respond at the library event. You can also request to be on our mailing list. [email protected]
