Shame on you CNN! It’s absolutely disgusting that you’ve fired Dr Marc Lamont Hill for having voiced out his opinion at the UN. Especially when his opinion was very right: From the River to the Sea, Palestine should be free! The European zionists have stolen the land of Palestine from its natives (the Palestinians), massacred innumerable Palestinians throughout their 70 years of cruel occupation of Palestine, displaced some 750000 Palestinians to abroad countries, carried out ethnic cleansing, caused so many Palestinians to become refugees in their own homeland, put Gaza under a most horrible siege.. I could go on and on and on, because Israel’s crimes have no limit!
However, because it’s “Israel” the perpetrator of such horrendous crimes against humanity, everybody should just shut up? Hello! We, citizens of the world, want Justice for the so-long oppressed Palestinians! Israel has NO whatsoever right to claim whatsoever in Palestine! And especially not after the unspeakable horrors it has been inflicting (and still is!) upon the Palestinians since 7 decades! Thieves remain thieves, and never become legitimate owners of the land. So yes, Dr Hill had FULL RIGHTS to say that FROM THE RIVER TO THE SEA, Palestine should be free! Military occupation is wrong, ethnic cleansing is wrong, fascism is wrong, genocide is wrong, apartheid is wrong, dehumanisation is wrong, killing unarmed civilians is wrong, traumatising children is wrong, jailing Palestinians for no reason is wrong, not respecting ANY international laws at all is wrong…. this list of “wrongs” is endless too! So YES people of the world SHOULD talk it all about AND put an end to all these horrors! That’s not “antisemitic” at all, that’s defending the basic rights of any human being on this planet! Respect to Dr Hill, and once again, SHAME on you CNN.

Am I to understand that the editorial policy of CNN is to not allow their journalists to say anything critical of Israel? The very essence of true journalism is to inform the public and expose the uncomfortable truths about the world around us. The public is then free to agree or disagree with that opinion and hopefully open up a healthy debate. If CNN disagreed with Dr. Hill’s speech to the United Nations, they could have simply said that the content of Dr. Hills speech “did not necessarily represent the views of this station”, and/or invite Dr. Hill to have an open debate with another journalist with an opposing view. That is known as free speech and democracy at work. However, CNN chose to fire Dr. Hill instead. Israel is not only running an apartheid state against the rights of the Palestinian people, they (Israel) are now putting serious journalism in my own country at serious risk and they are managing it through the gutless media that now serves as our source of news. Israel is also busy crafting laws that makes any criticism against their apartheid state appear as antisemitism, and they are succeeding because of our equally gutless politicians. I guess the best that can be said is that Dr. Hill doesn’t live in Saudi Arabia where he may have been beheaded for criticizing the monarchy or worse yet – butchered alive. What is it that Donald Trump likes to say, oh yeah – sad, very sad.

SHAME ON YOU CNN….when Ted Turner founded you he swore CNN would be different. What a joke you have become…you are biased in your reporting and NOW you fire a highly educated man who speaks the truth. Mr. Turner was right – you’re worse than the network channels. Shame, Shame, Shame on you. What happened to basic Journalism 101 – tell both sides of the story in an unbiased yet informed manner? You have sold out completely.

Don’t bother reinstating Dr Marc Lamont. It would only prove that you can be pressured into correcting a wrong. The mere fact of your dismissing him is proof enough of what a shallow and low-grade news organization you are.

Please don’t reinstate him as this provides me with useful ammunition to convince naive people about how they should ignore you.

Stop censoring the news. This is a democracy with free speech. This is a pluralistic nation with many people whose needs and concerns need to be aired. We are not to be a lap dog to another nation.

In the 1930’s Dr Hill would have been fired in a few European countries if he criticised them! It strikes me as strange that it is not allowed to criticise Israel although millions of people are denied all rights by that country.
