*CODEPINK San Pedro is pleased to co-sponsor this event, hosted by the Labor Community Strategy Center and its Strategy and Soul Bookstore*
Join us for an interactive teach-in and book launch of the "Cold War Truth Commission," featuring a panel of testifiers featured in the book, followed by an open mic for attendees as we continue to put the Cold War on trial. Special mention of the importance of 9/11 in the Cold War history of the world will be made.
Featured panelists include: CODEPINK's Jodie Evans, who will speak on the US historic and current Cold War against China, and The Labor Community Strategy Center's Eric Mann, who will give a talk on the "Lessons from the Cold War Truth Commission: Building the Resistance to the Hot War Today."
The open mic at the event will also provide an opportunity for more people to "give testimony" as to how the US Cold War, anti-socialist/communist discrimination, and red baiting have affected them in the past and present times.
Doors open at 6:00pm. Program is 6:30-8:30. Book signing, networking until 9:00pm.Β
Street parking. The event is free; a signed copy of the book is $20. There will be light refreshments served.
As always, wear pink!
