Pressure is building on Secretary of War Pete Hegseth over the bombing of an elementary school in Minab, Iran on the first day of the war. There is widespread reporting from multiple sources that U.S. officials were warned that the targeting data used to conduct the strike on the school was outdated and potentially wrong, but they decided to ignore the warnings for "expediency."
As a result of their deliberate negligence, the U.S. killed 73 little boys, 47 little girls, and 26 of their teachers.
Not too long ago during a press conference with Donald Trump, a journalist at Sky News asked him head on about the Minab Elementary school bombing. The journalist pressed Trump on the issue, which is a welcome sign that the media isn't moving on from this one so easily. We need to encourage this kind of journalistic integrity especially as the war escalates—we cannot forget about Minab!

In a recent press briefing with President Donald Trump, you questioned him about the school bombing in Minab, Iran. We wanted to thank you sincerely for doing that, and for not giving up on questioning the US military’s actions like many journalists have.
Between Secretary Hegseth refusing to answer similar questions from Congress and President Trump skirting around the issue at hearings, questions about Minab seem to be hitting a brick wall. Nonetheless, we still feel like the Iranian and American people deserve answers. Trump's answer to you was illuminating to the fact that we may never have answers from his administration, but the questions must still be asked for accountability's sake so the children that were killed in Iran months ago do not fade into distant memory.
