CODEPINK San Pedro and San Pedro Neighbors for Peace and Justice are hosting a gathering on Zoom this Armistice Day to call for peace in the Middle East! You are encouraged to make a regional dish or order in from your local Middle Eastern restaurant and join us. As we break bread together, we will share music and language, and photos of the region's beauty, its cultures and peoples, and its landscapes. From loved ones murdered in this genocide, to current land thefts in Palestine, the reality of this widening war, and the increasing Anti-Arab/Muslim hate our neighbors are experiencing in our communities. There will be an open mic for all, but we are first centering these voices. Let's build solidarity and empathy in this way. Together this Armistice Day, a day that celebrates the end of war. Let's call for peace in the Middle East!
While the U.S.-backed Israeli state widens the regional war, let's do all we can to widen the regional peace!
