CodePink is part of a national coalition of over 75 peace and social justice groups holding coordinated peace marches and rallies around the U.S. on the weekend of April 14-15, 2018. The sponsor is Spring Action 2018 Against U.S. Wars At Home and Abroad.
The Bay Area event will be held April 15, 2018 in Oakland.
The actions will begin with an assembly and rally between 11-12:30 at the Lake Merritt Amphitheater at 12th St. and 4th Avenue on Lake Merritt Blvd. in Oakland.
At 12:30 there will be a spirited march to Oscar Grant Plaza, near 14th and Broadway in Oakland.
At 1:30 there will be a rally at Oscar Grant Plaza.
Renowned peace activist and author Alice Walker will speak at Oscar Grant Plaza, followed by our CODEPINK activist Eleanor Levine.
