San Francisco Fundraiser Gaza Freedom Flotilla

Col. Ann Wright (Ret.) on “2018 Gaza Freedom Flotilla, BDS and Banned From Israel”

The people of Gaza have suffered long enough. Ann Wright comes to Berkeley to raise awareness and funds for the 2018 Gaza Freedom Flotilla, sailing this summer with hope and courage to challenge Israel’s blockade of Gaza. Ann is a retired US Army colonel who resigned  from the US government in 2003 in opposition to the war in Iraq. She has sailed on 3 Gaza flotillas, including the most recent 2016.  Ann will give an update on the deterioration conditions in the West Bank and Gaza, the worldwide BDS campaign, and the recent Israeli ban of Codepink, Jewish Voice for Peace, & other groups.
The event will include: a  6pm Social Hour 7pm Program. With a brief introduction at the beginning of the program by VFP Chapter Member Arla Ertz who has traveled to Palestine and Ash Malloy will present a portion of the one woman play “My Name is Rachel Corrie”. Join us as we celebrate the power of nonviolence and resolve of peacemakers to help the people of Gaza.
All are welcome.
Donation $15-$100 (no one turned away lack of funds). If you cannot come to the talk please donate.
