Protest disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi
Join us to protest the outrageous disappearance of prominent Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who walked into the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul and has not been seen since. Turkish investigators have leaked that they believe happened: A 15-person hit team was sent from Saudi Arabia to Turkey to murder Khashoggi, who had been a critic of the Saudi government.

In March of 2018, it was reported that the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia purchased a 5-10% stake in WME for $400 million. In April, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman wrapped up a three week-long visit around the U.S. (during which he visited President Trump, Henry Kissinger, Michael Bloomberg, Bill Clinton, Rupert Murdoch, Robert Kraft, Bob Iger his friends at Lockheed Martin) with a dinner with Ari Emanuel. Of course, he also rented out the entire Four Seasons in Beverly Hills.
Bin Salman's warm reception stateside is particularly disturbing, as he launched a war on Yemen in 2015 that the UN today calls "the worst man-made humanitarian crisis of our time." Saudi forces have completely sealed off air, sea, and land entries, as Yemen's populations suffers. Three-quarters of Yemen's population--22 million people--now rely on some form of humanitarian aid, while two million people have been displaced. Furthermore, the UN has reported that 8 million people are near starvation--and that a child under the age of 5 dies every ten minutes of preventable causes. Meanwhile, the Yemen Data Project has recorded an average of 15 bombing strikes per day in a three year period, a third of which targeted non-military sites.
