While we thank PA representatives Lee, Scanlon, Evans and Dean for co-sponsoring the Block the Bombs bill, there is more that all of our elected representatives in the Philadelphia area need to do to uphold human rights and international law, and save the lives of innocent civilians.
We all see what is happening in Gaza and we must act now! Our elected officials must step up in their roles to stop starvation, ethnic cleansing and all aspects of the genocide.
Please review the full list of related demands, and sign this petition to be delivered to Philly area elected officials!
Philadelphia Representatives by congressional district:
Brian Fitzpatrick 1st district
Brendan Boyle 2nd district
Dwight Evans 3rd district
Madeleine Dean 4th district
Mary Gay Scanlon 5th district
Chrissy Houlihan 6th district
PA Senators:
Dave McCormick
John Fetterman
Update: Originally, this petition included a demand for safe passage of the Gaza-bound Flotilla, including safety for local veteran Ed Doogan. Unfortunately, government support was not rendered, and the Flotilla was unable to deliver its much-needed cargo. Humanitarian aid for the families of Gaza remains severely limited to this day, and the other demands of this petition are still of utmost importance. Free Palestine!
To: Philadelphia Area Elected Officials
- Fund and support UNWRA to provide adequate aid to Gaza through fully opened HUMANITARIAN corridors.
- Reestablish visas for severely injured Palestinian children being provided MEDICAL TREATMENT in the US.
- Co-sponsor HR3565 ‘Block the Bombs Act’ and other legislation to STOP ARMING Israel. We thank congressional reps Dean and Scanlon for co-sponsoring the Act and urge the remaining Philadelphia representatives to join now.
