Join CODEPINK NYC to show our local community support for Mother's Day. Afrikana is a organization that provides support for immigrants new to the area with a focus on Black, Arab, and Muslim arrivals who face significant barriers to accessing benefits, housing, and work. They also provide clothing to this community and at this event we will provide support organizing a recent influx of donations and other cleaning support.
In a period of severe backlash against migrants, the purpose of this event is to connect our feminist imperialist lens on mothers day towards solidarity with members of our community who are in especially precarious conditions.
