LA: July 17 Peace in Israel/Palestine with Miko Peled and Abby Martin

A DISCUSSION AND Q&A WITH MIKO PELED AND ABBY MARTIN

Miko Peled is a writer and activist born and raised in Jerusalem. Driven by a personal family tragedy to explore Palestine, its people and their narrative he has written a book about his journey called “The General’s Son, Journey of an Israeli in Palestine.” Miko will be discussing Gaza as a part of the larger issue of occupied Palestine. Abby Martin is an American citizen, journalist and presenter of the web series "The Empire Files". In her new film "Gaza Fights For Freedom" with the collaboration between The Empire Files and a team of Palestinian videographers in Gaza she shows exclusive coverage from The Great March of Return. The film focuses on Gaza medic Razan al-Najjar who was killed by Israeli snipers (on June 1, 2018) and features never-before- seen interviews with Razan’s immediate family, medics who treated her, and victims shot down alongside her.
