LA August 9: Global Day of Action for Yemen

Join CODEPINK at the General Consulate of Saudi Arabia for the first vigil of the Saudi Arabia bomb dropped on a Yemen school bus.

The war in Yemen has been called the "worlds worst humanitarian crisis in decades" and "the forgotten war". Since 2015, U.S. forces have provided logistical and intelligence support to the Saudi-led coalition.

The August 9 school bus attack killed 40 boys aged from six to 11 who were being taken on a school trip. Eleven adults also died. Local authorities said that 79 people were wounded, 56 of them children. The weapon used was a laser-guided bomb made by Lockheed Martin, one of many thousands sold to Saudi Arabia as part of billions of dollars of weapons exports.
