IWD 2024: Chicago Vigil for Palestine

Join us for an International Working Women’s Day Vigil for Palestine on Friday March 8th from 7-8:30pm.

We honor the working class roots of March 8th and pledge our devotion to Palestinian liberation just as we struggle for liberation for all peoples of the world, from Chicago to Gaza. Our communities have long organized side by side within anti-colonial, anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist, anti-racist, and larger transnational feminist movements. We continue that legacy of resistance. Shut down colonial feminism! Free Palestine. Land Back.

We will converge at St Luke’s Lutheran / Grace Church Logan Square at 3325 W. Wrightwood Ave Chicago, IL 60647. For the health and safety of all, masks are required. Feel free to bring your little ones, as childcare will be provided. Accessibility info to come. We’ll have refreshments on hand, including light Palestinian food and beverages.

This event is hosted by the healthcare, cultural, education, tech, and social service worker collectives for Palestine in Chicago, as well as the Palestinian Feminist Collective.
