We are hosting a teach-in with Feed the Block IE and Ontario United for Liberation that talks about how the fight for reparations looks today. We will be having speakers come in and interact with our community members. We want to know how to navigate the current political climate especially within its instability. We want to explore how reparations can be demanded within communities.
This event is part of the Black Auxiliary Series. The series will feature monthly gatherings to engage with and uplift the Black diaspora within the IE.
Bring food! We want this to be potluck style. Make sure to be conscious of food and dietary restrictions (i.e. gluten, vegan, fasting, etc). Please take COVID precautions as we will be in an indoor space.
