Donald Trump stated that Iranian soccer players should avoid coming to the U.S. for the games if they care "for their own life and safety." This is a direct threat against innocents who have nothing to do with the Iranian government. Is this a country we want millions of people to be traveling to?

These dangerous conditions undermine the basic requirements for a global sporting event.
The current situation in the United States meets the same criteria governments use to issue Level 4: Do Not Travel advisories: a high risk of arbitrary detention, political violence, lack of due process, and state coercion. This country has entangled itself in a war at home and overseas.
