Digital Organizing Intern

Duration: 12-Month Paid Internship with the possibility of extension to a full-time, permanent position.
Salary: $23 or more per hour depending on experience, with paid vacation and health benefits.
Position type: Part-time/Full-time. Deadline: ASAP. Start Date: Sometime in February.

About the Position:

CODEPINK Co-Directors are seeking an Intern who is passionate about joining the peace movement making a difference. In this position you will develop strong organizational and digital skills by assisting our local chapters with their events and emails. You will also help our national team with administrative tasks and website updates. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and learning new tech tools. Full orientation and tech training will be provided.

You must be tech-savvy, a good writer, with strong attention to detail and accuracy, and have the ability to self-direct and problem-solve. 

Location: Any region of the United states, including California, Illinois, New York, or Washington D.C. 

Work will be done remotely. You must have access to a computer (not Ipad), reliable internet connection, and an environment free of distractions and conducive to online, remote work. 

This is a part-time/full-time, at least 20 hours per week position with the possibility of becoming a permanent full-time position in the future. We expect you to be punctual and available to work during 9:00 am - 5:00 pm your local time throughout the work week.

Probation Period: Your first three months will be probationary, after which your employment will be confirmed based on your performance. 


Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

50% Regional Organizing Support:

  • Liaise with local chapters, set up and sometimes attend meetings. (Occasionally in the evening, 2-3 hours a week that can be taken as flex time off)  
  • Respond to local chapter  inquiries and requests.
  • Create website event pages for local chapters.
  • Produce email and text blasts promoting local chapter events.
  • Assist with creating local chapter promotional materials, flyers and graphics.

50% National Team Support:

  • Respond to general inquiries via email and phone.
  • Take meeting notes. 
  • Archive weekly eblasts, YouTube webinars, and weekly actions on our website.
  • Archive videos and photos on Vimeo and Flickr. 
  • Assist with creating promotional materials, flyers and graphics.
  • Serve as a website/zoom tech coordinator and backup for staff on vacation, and assist with various eblasts, text blasts, event pages and general website updates.
