Join the CODEPINK, the Colombia Human Rights Committee, Asociación MINGA, and Programa Somos Defensores for an evening centered on the deep and growing connections between the fight for human rights in Colombia and the global movement for Palestinian liberation.
For decades, Colombian human rights defenders have confronted state and paramilitary violence, defended communities under threat, and challenged the militarized policies that endanger social leaders. Today, as the world witnesses the catastrophic genocide on Gaza, these defenders are speaking out about how their struggle is inseparable from the Palestinian struggle.
Across Colombia, a grassroots movement in solidarity with Palestine has emerged from the very communities and organizations that have resisted war and repression at home. This event explores how Colombian activists understand the parallels: the militarization of daily life, U.S. involvement in shaping conflict, systemic displacement, targeted attacks on social leaders, and the urgent need for global solidarity in the face of violence.
