A group of activists and concerned citizens will gather at the State Department to deliver a letter to Secretary Blinken protesting his dismissive response to Australian authorities’ call for the release of Julian Assange. At a recent press conference in Australia, Blinken rejected their call, citing Assange's "very serious criminal conduct" in publishing classified documents more than a decade ago, including the "Collateral Murder" video that exposed U.S. military actions resulting in the death of Reuters journalists.
