Join CODEPINK, ANSWER Coalition and the People's Forum in San Francisco to protest on the 20th anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq.
The demonstrations will make connections between the human and financial toll of U.S. militarism at home and abroad. Key demands include:
- End the $100 Billion in arms shipments to Ukraine
- End NATO
- Stop the permanent war economy that funnels trillions of dollars away from jobs, education and health care
- Negotiations now! The people of the U.S. are not interested in the possibility of nuclear war nor the Pentagon’s policy of “weakening Russia.”
- No to war with China!
Come out! Come out! On March 18 we will meet up at 11:30am at the 24th St. BART Plaza to participate in a rally and march through the Mission District. We're arriving a little early to set up a pink booth or corner, decorating with flowers and pink banners. You're invited to come out in pink to represent our women-led movement for peace and justice, call for transition to a peace economy, speak up to say "China is Not Our Enemy", "War is Not Green", and for justice and against war and war profiteers. Bring flowers, dogs, children, peace banners. We'll have lots of cookies and snacks to share. AND, we're inviting the CEOs of Lockheed Martin, Chevron, PG&E, Raytheon, BlackRock Worldwide Investments, Secretary of State Blinken, Victoria Nuland, Nancy Pelosi, and the corporate media moguls-- the whole billionaire club-- to tell us why their profits from war are much more important than saving the planet from the twin threats of nuclear war and climate catastrophe.
