Join Upper Hudson Valley CODEPINK for an intersectional Palestine × Earth Day event on Saturday, April 20th at 12pm!
The goal: With our collective voices, we will decry the ecocide and genocide being commited in Palestine, call out Israel for greenwashing, and the U.S. and other imperial war machines for profitting off of the toxic spread of colonial capitalism. We are also looking forward to strenghtening connections with our community by cleaning up the streets of Troy for Earth Day!
The action: We will be conducting a die-in outside of the Troy Farmer's Market, as well as passing out educational flyers explaing why we should care about what's happening in Palestine on Earth Day. Following this, we will march the streets of Troy to William D Chamberlain Riverfront Park and the adjacent lot (0.1 mi.), and break out into teams to clean up litter and debris to show our appreciation and support of our community and Earth Day.
This event is cosponsored by: Party for Socialism and Liberation Albany and Women Against War Capital Region NY.
