We showed out to counter those gathering for the Justice for J6 “rally”. We were standing against facism from within the state and from outside. There were hundreds of cops in militarized equipment and more photographers than most had ever seen in one place. I came away from the day thinking, where is all this press to cover the climate crisis and to expose the corporate greed of endless wars?
Down the street, local organizers were holding an anti-fascism space for community and mutual aid proving that the people keep each other safe and cared for.
