On Wednesday, December 15 the Senate voted 89-11 to approve a WHOPPING $778 billion Pentagon budget.
Senators Merkley and Wyden from Oregon both voted against this outrageous piece of legislation, so we visited Senator Merkley's office to thank him for his vote against war, death, and destruction!
The CODEPINK team was in Oregon for our annual team Advance to plan strategically for the upcoming year. We felt so grateful to be in the only state in the country where both Senators voted against the obscene $778 billion Pentagon budget.
For comparison, this Pentagon budget is over $150 billion larger than the last enacted budget under the Obama Administration.
