Today at COP26 was Greta’s day with Fridays for Future. Youth were on the streets from across Scotland joined by the activists in Glasgow from around the world. We gathered our #WarIsNotGreen contingent and spent 5 hours immersed in thousands of passionate people for life and the planet, it was so inspiring, the signs were all beautiful and the people so lovely. At the end instead of being tired as we gathered a a pub to finally eat we talked about how inspired and energized we were. It was fun to hand out our War Is Not Green stickers and say did you know that the military is the largest industrial user of fossil fuels? We quickly realized that no one knew this, and we found ourselves with very receptive and new audience. We ran out of stickers!

We ended just in time to hear Greta speak and declare COP26 a failure. But the streets of Glasgow and the activism was a success, so much interconnection and inspiration we all need to continue the work for Life and the Planet.
