The Supreme Court heard oral arguments today challenging and defending Texas’ new abortion law through a pair of cases—Whole Woman’s Health v. Jackson and United States v. Texas. It’s incredibly frustrating that in year 2021 we still have to be out here fighting for abortion access. These bans will disproportionately hurt the BIPOC folks and low income earners and while they are starting in Texas and Mississippi, will create a ripple effect across the country and around the world.

Those of us in support of abortion access were met with “pro-life” protesters who tried to drawn out the voices of those unpologetically sharing their abortion stories. Legal abortions protect those who become pregnant and save lives, if this really were an argument about life vs. death, why aren’t these protestors coming out in full force against the US’ endless wars?
Next month, we need more people to show up in solidarity for abortion access for all. Please sign up and join us on December 1 outside of the Supreme Court: link to event page here.
