On the same day the Biden administration is pushing forward with the prosecution of Assange, they allow Steven Donziger to be jailed for going after big oil. Donziger, the human rights and environmental lawyer who won a $9.5B judgement against Chevron was reported to jail this morning after Chevron retaliated in court. We joined groups and congresspeople outside the Capital today in solidarity to #FreeDozinger. This crack down on people fighting against giant corporations of the fossil fuel industry in the name of Indigenous people and the planet is rampant. The Pentagon is the largest institutional consumer of oil in the world and until we #CutThePentagon, corporations like Chevron will continue to get away with mass murder. Like Rashida Tlaib said, “They can’t arrest us all,” in an effort to continue to sound the alarm.
“They can’t arrest all of this,” @RashidaTlaib.

“That’s why we’re here today 4 @SDonziger to stand w/ Indigenous people in this country, in Ecuador & around the world against the extractiveness of @Chevron,” Natali Segovia of @WaterIsLifeWPLC.#ChevronKills #FreeDonziger pic.twitter.com/L3lDQ9Ostu
