Codepink to JP Morgan Chase: Stop The Money Pipeline!

7 February 2020

CODEPINK San Francisco joined 100 local residents and organizations in occupying Chase Bank at 595 Market Street. The occupation lasted three hours while protesters demanded that the bank, which is the largest funder of fossil fuel projects, divest and save the planet. Other organizations that participated in the rally included Extinction Rebellion SF Bay Area, Rainforest Action Network, Sunrise, 350 Bay Area, 350 Silicon Valley, XR Youth, 1000 Grandmothers, Wet’suwet’en Solidarity Front Bay Area, and Diablo Rising Tide. CODEPINK brought bulks and bulks of flowers such as narcissis, forsythia and tulip to be handed out to the bank's employees. CODEPINK and other protesters participated in multiple die-in demonstrations. CODEPINK also hosted simulations of tearing up Chase credit cards.
