Delegates of the National Education Association (NEA), the largest labor union in the country, recently voted to sever ties with the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). For far too long, the ADL has suppressed Palestinian history and narratives under the guise of anti-hate programming to bolster pro-Israel propaganda in schools. The vote now moves to the NEA Executive Committee, who have the opportunity to drop the ADL by finalizing the decision.
Unsurprisingly, the ADL has been scrambling to intimidate the NEA Executive Committee into reversing the decision. They’ve wasted no time smearing NEA members and deeming those who supported the vote “pro-Hamas activists.” Let’s show the NEA Executive Committee the support they need to stand firm in the union’s decision and make the historical move to drop the ADL!
Send the NEA Executive Committee a letter supporting the delegates’ vote and encouraging them to not succumb to the ADL’s pressure!
