*Event co-sponsored by CODEPINK San Pedro and San Pedro Neighbors for Peace and Justice*
Join us on Saturday, January 18th for a film screening and discussion. We will combine a discussion of "Gaza Fights for Freedom" with the commemoration of Martin Luther King, Jr., noting that the Great March of Return protests in Gaza were influenced by the Freedom Marches of the Civil Rights Movement in the United States.
Attendees are encouraged to come promptly at 5pm to also and first enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Angel's Gate Cultural Center, atop a hillside with wide views of the Pacific Ocean. This site is home to the annual Many Gathering of Elders ceremonies of indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island. Renew your senses and your spirit by enjoying the surroundings before the event.
Enter Angel's Gate park from Gaffey Street, taking the road winding to the right. Follow signs to Building H. Enjoy the view.
