SF CODEPINK invites you to join our fast and vigil for a Ceasefire in Gaza. The crisis is worsening daily in Gaza due to the genocidal crimes committed by Israel, with the full support of President Biden and most of our Congress. Urgent collective global actions are drastically needed For the love of the children of Gaza, will you join us?
This will be a collective fasting and meditation for peace for the people of Palestine.
We ask everyone to contact their Congress members and Senators @(202) 224-3121 and the White House @(202) 456-1111 daily. Urge them to demand a CEASEFIRE in GAZA. Ask Representatives to sign onto House Resolution 786 calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
- WHERE: 2640 Broadway (near Divisadero), at Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi’s S.F. home.
- WHEN: Oct. 27-29, starting Friday, October 27, 3pm. Fasting and vigils daily, Sunrise to Sunset, at Pelosi’s home. Join us for as long as you can, even an hour or two helps.
- WHAT: Daytime fasting, bannering, and leafletting at Pelosi’s home, to conclude with an evening communal sunset meal to break the fast, followed by a candlelight vigil, calling for IMMEDIATE CEASEFIRE & PEACE in GAZA. Bring music, song and food to share for evening sunset meal! Bringing your own folding chairs. Public transport is difficult, carpools encouraged.
- Note: On Saturday, October 28, 12:30pm, we will take our fast from Pelosi’s to the SF Ferry Building Plaza to join the STOP THE GENOCIDE in GAZA mobilization, returning afterwards to Pelosi’s to continue our vigil and break our fast together.
- Sunday, Oct. 29 will be the last fast & vigil at Pelosi’s home (sunrise to sunset). After our communal meal and candlelight vigil on Sunday evening, people are encouraged to continue their fasting and calls to U.S. officials from their own homes until a CEASEFIRE in GAZA is obtained!
