Peace Activists Hold Rally Outside Fargo Courthouse Demanding a Ceasefire Now
The Fargo-Moorhead chapter of CODEPINK, along with other peace activists, will hold a Ceasefire Now rally outside the Fargo courthouse. The rally aims to let elected officials know Fargo wants a ceasefire resolution as they prepare for a potential vote on one at the upcoming city commission meeting on April 1.
WHAT: Rally at the Courthouse: Fargo Wants a Ceasefire
WHEN: Saturday, March 30, 2024, 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm (CDT)
Fargo has been organizing in tandem with organizers in Moorhead, MN, who successfully saw their ceasefire resolution pass last week. The advocacy between both cities' constituents at their city commission and city council meetings over the past weeks drove both mayors from Fargo and Moorhead to issue a joint proclamation, essentially calling for a ceasefire without ever using those words.
Fargo's Human Rights Commission recently passed the ceasefire resolution, a step along the way to getting it passed through the city commission.
