From Cuba with Love: Report back from Cuba Delegation 2025

CUBA2025.png

CODEPINK just came back from an 8-day educational delegation to Cuba to experience first-hand how the United States' six-decades-long financial, economic and commercial warfare against Cuba, is impacting the daily life of families and communities.

We met artists, organizers, educators, doctors, religious leaders and more who all had a shared love of Cuban culture, education and art and a unique perspective on the current economic situation and political climate of Cuba. CODEPINK members will recap these stories as well as their own experiences and how our political, economic and social lives here in the U.S. have a direct impact on the Cuban people.

Throughout this webinar, we will hear from doctors recounting their experience in one of Cuba's many polyclinics and what medical advances Cuba continues to pioneer despite the blockade. We will also hear from students and educators who met with economists, museum/cultural center curators, feminist and anti-imperialist organizers and other young folks to learn how Cuba is is preserving it's history and keeping the revolution alive.

And above all, we will hear from peace activists and community members who could not believe the kindness and warm welcomes we received, whether it be from locals throughout Central and Old Havana, the farmers we met in the Artemisa province or community members we shared coffee with in Las Terrazas! This trip brought us immense feelings of joy, anxiety for the future and extensive visions of hope as we continue to fight for a future filled with peace, love and resistance here in the U.S. and in Cuba. We cannot wait to share all this and more with you!

AND learn how to continue taking action for Cuba today and everyday! Viva Cuba!
