IN REPONSE to the 61st annual Armed Forces Day parade and Celebration held in Torrance, California, Codepink San Pedro and San Pedro Neighbors for Peace and Justice, Torrance and South Bay residents will gather to protest and leaflet the continuing militarization of the United States. We HONOR those who have given their lives and bodies in COUNTLESS wars and exercise our Constitution Rights to protest over 3 TRILLION dollars being sent to continue the HOSTILITIES IN UKRAINE and around the world. We will be picketing on the SE corner of Madrona Avenue and Carson Street (in front of the Mobil station) during the parade Saturday, May 20th from 12pm-3pm. At 4pm members of the community will leaflet the display of armaments at the Del Amo Fashion Center East parking lot off Del Amo Blvd and Madrona. Please spread the word ONLY to like minded individuals to attend. PLEASE make signs that say:
Money for Schools! Not for War!
Cut The Pentagon Budget!
Money For Wages! Not For War!
Taxes for Peace! Not For War!

Park on the street or 2 blocks away behind Black Angus or in the Mall parking lot .
