Defund the Pentagon
Tell Congress: Vote NO on the NDAA
This year, members of Congress had the chance to vote yes on legislation which would have cut the Pentagon budget by 10%.
422 Members of the House and the Senate voted against this legislation, essentially giving the Pentagon a blank check while millions are suffering during a global pandemic. They also either voted against, or didn’t bring to a vote, legislation to condition military assistance to Israel, end the war in Yemen, and prevent a war with Iran.
Contact Congress right now and demand they VOTE NO on the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).
With the must-pass National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), we have the ability to make real progress by cutting the bloated Pentagon budget and prioritizing the needs of millions of Americans who are suffering due to COVID-19.
A recent poll found that nearly 60% of Americans agree that they want to cut the Pentagon budget and reallocate those funds to needs including fighting COVID-19, healthcare, education, and housing. The amendment to cut the Pentagon budget by 10% was supported by 113 of your colleagues who stood with the majority of American people who want to redirect $74 billion to support millions of Americans who are unemployed and lack healthcare during a global pandemic. It is critical that you show leadership by voting NO on the National Defense Authorization Act which is a no-strings-attached giveaway to the Pentagon during an unprecedented global pandemic.
I appeal to you to stand with the majority of American people and vote NO on the National Defense Authorization Act.
