Support the Israeli Annexation Non-Recognition Act

If passed, Betty McCollum’s bill H.R.8050 will prohibit the United States government from recognizing Israeli false claims of sovereignty over the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and prohibit U.S. funds from being used for further annexation of Palestinian lands.

Email your Representative in Congress now and ask them to become a cosponsor.

As someone committed to freedom, peace, and equality, I am writing to urge you to support Rep. Betty McCollum’s Israeli Annexation Non-Recognition Act.

As Israel continues, despite its deal with the UAE, to threaten to illegally annex the West Bank, Congress must show that it will oppose such an unjust action in both word and deed. The people of Palestine have suffered for generations, facing violent occupation and discrimination every day. Annexation means more theft of land from Palestinians, more home demolitions, more settler and state violence, more apartheid.

The United States should support freedom and justice around the world, but instead, we have spent billions of dollars funding Israeli oppression. Annexation would be a legal formalization of Israeli apartheid. We must act now to hold Israel accountable and show that the U.S. will not continue to fund Israeli human rights violations against Palestinians, especially through de jure annexation.

Please join Betty McCollum’s H.R. 8050 as a cosponsor.

Thank you.  I look forward to your response.
