Dear Norwegian Nobel Committee,

Nothing threatens humanity and our vision for peace more than climate change and its #1 cause– the war economy. Social justice, global peace, and human prosperity all depend on the health of our planet– that’s why I’m asking you to award youth activist Greta Thunberg the Nobel Peace Prize and elevate the voices of the youth-led, grassroots movement to address the climate crisis. The climate crisis is an existential threat to human life.

Not only do endless wars directly contribute to rising global temperatures, but the U.S. military is also already preparing to use global climate refugees as a pretext to increase U.S. militarism around the world. In fearlessly leading the global movement for climate action, Greta inspires communities to take action against our rapidly changing climate and confronts the capitalist war economy that fuels climate breakdown and causes human suffering around the world. Greta Thunberg fiercely advocates for peace, justice, and equality in a world that prioritizes profit over the people and the planet. Please help amplify her calls for climate action, and subsequent call against war and militarism, by awarding her the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize.
