Peace Economy Pledge

The Local Peace Economy exists; it is why we are alive and nurtured. It is the relational, reciprocal, giving, sharing, thriving, and resilient, feminine values of the economy. But how are we regarding it, nurturing it and becoming more of it? Where and how are we putting our values in the war economy, which is extractive, oppressive and produces inequality? How can we shift our values and ethics to embody the local and relational?

Today, we invite you to plant the first seeds to peace.

Commit to taking part in moving your values away from the war economy and into the Local Peace Economy.

Sign the pledge and join the action!

I have felt this deep urge within me for a long time. I kept getting messages from Facebook to promote, sell, market, but what I want to do is serve, teach, help, barter and help others grow, be and delight. For a year now, I have just let clients pay with services in return or pay according to what they feel my services have meant in their lives. Yesterday, my massage therapist friend came and offered to exchange her services for a meditation and art session with her daughters next week, and I felt the pieces of a huge puzzle fall into place; this pledge is just further confirmation of this awakening! Now, let’s gotransform the rest of the world! Lina Cuartas

I hope to become more connected to local movements, even while living in a giant megalopolis such as Tokyo.
