2nd Annual LA Harbor Peace Week

A week of activities in San Pedro celebrating the solutions of peace internationally & locally

We will be teaming up with some incredible organizations like Veterans for Peace, #BernersAgainstMilitarism, Occupy Torrance/South Bay, SoCal 350 Climate Action, and more, for a week of peace in San Pedro! As a direct response to the annual Fleet Week, we want to build & celebrate local peace economies to ensure that our communities are putting social needs over militaristic greed.

Events kick off with a press conference on August 29th at 5pm at the Liberty Hill Monument (5th & Palos Verdes) and continue throughout the week with daily themed activities & opportunities for education including Make Art Not War, Promote a Local Peace Economy, Vigil for Peace, and Books Not Bombs. The week concludes on September 3rd with a peace picnic & memorial from 11am-2pm at San Pedro City Hall (6th & Harbor Blvd).
