Growing a Local Peace Economy Daily #145

Step out of your comfort zone. Be interested in what is happening around you. You may not just be good for your community, you may bring the world closer to global peace.” — Nobel Peace laureate Leymah Gbowee, Liberia

Daily Practice: It was Leymah gathering her neighbors – ones who were a different religion – and together they ended a war. What are you doing with your neighbors? Are you working on something local now? If you haven’t yet, find those 10 community members and meet once a month. Engage with what your community needs together. What can you do to end how violence is used by power in your community? Peace is waiting.
