The YMCA was founded with a mission to ‘improve the spiritual condition of young men’ and has a deep history of service work in marginalized communities. This history is the very premise of our concern that the YMCA allows for Fox News to occupy airtime in facilities across the United States. The hate filled rhetorical strategy of Fox News is built on lies, falsehoods, and misjudgements about the very communities the YMCA serves.  This constant stream of negativity acts as a brainwashing mechanism, confusing truth and reality and offering little insight towards advancement.
