Tell Congress to vote NO to escalating the war in Ukraine

Please stop the escalation! These new weapons are monstrous and should never have been made, let alone used! The US has turned into a stupid killing machine which will bring nothing good to the US, let alone other countries.

The time has come to act like adults with some modicum of vision and obligation to coming generations. What the world needs now is cooperation and the best that our minds and efforts have to give toward solving the Climate Crisis. So far I’ve seen none of that from any of you.
It is still not too late though we are falling further behind with each dollar spent on warmongering. Before there was rap music there was folk music warning of what was going on in Vietnam, before that there were songs of abolition, a group proto rap group called The Last Poets had an admonition you would do well to heed.

In the future, within the same sentence/breath, please include Bush’s invasion of Iraq (lied to Congress about WMD’s) and the Obama/NATO bombing of Libya (destroyed North Africa’s elaborate irrigation system of canals, bombing them back to the Stone Age).
Otherwise, you support a double standard favoring ‘the vanity of the powerful’.

It is an accounting of America’s anti Russian ‘blood lust’ during the last Cold War. It is the story of James P. Donovan a New York Insurance attorney, Abel Rudolf the first Russian Spy apprehended in the US and U2 pilot Francis Gary Powers.
Today’s climate is much the same except no one is standing against popular currents to protect this Nation’s interests.
If watching a movie is too much to ask, please read Time Magazine’s article about Shawn Fuller, a U.S. Navy veteran, arriving in Kiev in 2018, to join the Ukrainian Military’s Nazi Training Camp. It describes the Ukrainian fascists, their club in downtown Kiev with its movie theatre, bar, youth camps etc. Americans take issues with ‘Proud Boys’ rushing the Nations capitol but have no problem giving the fascists that control the Ukrainian government billions of American taxpayer dollars.
At the very least, abstain from the vote to send more money to them.

Putin has emerged as an international villain. I’m glad that Ukraine has remained unconquered by Russia. However, war spending, $billions upon $billions is way over the top. Biden blew the lid off Trump’s “defense” spending in his first year in office.

Re Ukraine:

IF Ukraine must be better armed, where are the other NATO et al. countries for giving hugely to Ukraine? It seems that the USA is carrying the burden.

Please demand more of the other countries, PLUS:

WHILE FIGHTING GOES ON, PLEASE ADVOCATE FOR NEGOTIATIONS WITH A CEASE-FIRE, EVEN IF RUSSIA DOESN’T REALLY SERIOUSLY WANT EITHER NEGOTIATIONS OR A CEASE-FIRE.

ALSO, IF there is a way to encourage Russians in that country to RISE UP against their present Govt, then do that. AND if PUTLER can be isolated and captured, all the better.

As your constituent, I request you vote NO on the next $37 billion, with $22 billion for weapons, to escalate the war in Ukraine. Instead of spending taxpayer dollars on more weapons, military training and intelligence, demand the White House engage in serious diplomatic efforts to avert direct combat between the two most nuclear armed nations, the United States and Russia.

Do not risk nuclear war; please help toward stopping the tragic mayhem!

It appears there is no military solution to the war in Ukraine. Every Ukraine battlefield victory has triggered Russian retaliation to up the ante in an endless war. The only real solution is a diplomatic one that addresses the security concerns of all involved.

If Ukraine and Russia can negotiate the flow of grain exports, prisoner exchanges and international inspections of a nuclear plant, they can at least try to negotiate an end to this war, provided the US and NATO countries do not torpedo the talks with more weapons shipments.

We need a ceasefire and we need peace negotiations now! Russia recently (likely falsely) claimed that its recent wrath on Ukraine was because “Ukraine would not negotiate” – so Russia cruelly prepares the way to “death of civilians by freezing” by destroying salient infrastructure. Yes, it’s crazy, but at least take Russia ùp on that and demand, over and over, negotiations…like Russia supposedly wants (even if a phony “want” on Russia’s part)!

Vote NO on the next $37 billion to escalate the war in Ukraine. That will surprise Putler…

If he escalates even in the face of possible negotiations, keep trying anyway while remaining practically “war-ready” with other countries’ contributions if needed…

What do we need in the USA?

We need low income housing for the homeless.
We need mental hospitals and long term housing for the mentally ill that are living on the Streets.
We need student loans to be paid.
We need to become self sufficient and not depend on wars to bring revenue.
We need medical for all people.
Fix the USA and stop printing money that isn’t there as we already sent $50 Billion to the Ukraine and only 30% actually reached the Ukraine.

No more war, where is the 37 billion to help poor Americans suffering from inflation? Where is the money to forgive student loans? Where is our healthcare, our education, our infrastructure? Why did it take decades before the ACA was created? How many more decades until we have universal college or healthcare? Why is it Ukraine gets unquestionable, immediate aid, yet we the American people must suffer for decades on end only to get half measures? People shall say we can focus on multiple issues at once, yet domestic issues are being completely ignored. Student loan forgiveness is in peril of being outright blocked by SCOTUS. Congress is clearly using foreign aid as a screen, to excuse themselves from their responsibility to the people. In reality they care not for our wellbeing, they send money to be lossed in another pointless war while saying the deficit is too high, universal healthcare cost too much, and debt relief is un-American. This is cruel and unfair to the American people.

The USA must put a stop to the ongoing war in Ukraine. It is time to Negotiate NOT Escalate. The money we are putting into this war is needed in USA where millions are living in poverty or on the edges.

No more death and destruction! Please negotiate and be willing to comporomise!

It’s always about the wealthy and powerful. The government would rather use our tax dollars for killing machines and war than protect it’s citizens from COVID-19. More Americans are dead from COVID-19 than any other country. Meanwhile another corporate tax cut is in process while they caused the worst inflation in decades with their historic profits.
