URGENT! Sign this petition to the Saudi Ambassador in the US calling on him to immediately halt the impending execution of three Saudi youth who were arrested when they were minors!
Dear Ambassador Abdullah bin Faisal Al Saud,
We are gravely concerned about the lives of three young men, Ali Mohammed Bagir al-Nim, Dawood Hussein al-Marhood, and Abdullah Hasan al-Zaher, who are facing imminent execution in Saudi Arabia for offenses they are alleged to have committed while they were minors.
Since the arrest of these young men, they have had their basic rights taken away from them and they have been abused. They were not allowed to see their lawyers, and according to the youth, their "confessions" were a result of having been tortured.
Saudi Arabia is a state party to the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which strictly prohibits the use of the death penalty for crimes committed by anyone below the age of 18.
I urge you to immediately halt the executions of these youth and establish an official moratorium on all executions with a view to abolishing the death penalty in Saudi Arabia.
