Block Parties, Not Blockades!

On June 9, we held a block party outside the Summit of the Americas, aka the 'Summit of Exclusion,' to celebrate & symbolically represent the three nations excluded from the Summit– Cuba, Venezuela & Nicaragua– and the countries that boycotted in solidarity.

Let Cuba Live! Young Voices Against the Blockade

Healthcare, the family code, international medical brigades- these are just some of the ways Cuba practices democracy & solidarity with people around the world. Our national Co-Director Danaka Katovich & the other amazing panelists talked about this & more on the LET CUBA LIVE panel at the People's Summit.

A crucial policy of the Trump administration remains, and that is Cuba’s presence on the State Sponsors of Terrorism list.  It is critical to Cuba’s ability to pursue economic, trade and humanitarian activities that it be removed immediately from the list - a power well within Biden’s authority.  Please sign our petition to the White House calling for Cuba to be removed from the list.

A Conversation with Venezuelan Feminists

Mónica M., Anggie H. and Yolimar M. are active protagonists in Venezuela's Bolivarian Revolution, having worked for years in the struggles for educational, cultural, Indigenous, Black and women's rights. Listen to their testimony of how U.S. sanctions disproportionately affect Venezuelan women and children. Moderated by CODEPINK's Leonardo Flores

The Biden administration is using the sanctions as leverage, harming ordinary Venezuelans. Tell Biden to lift the sanctions now!

The Struggle for Sovereignty

While the U.S. Government seeks to shape the world for its own financial and political benefit, the oppressed and struggling people inside and outside its own borders know that they have the right to determine their own societies and their own futures. Listen to CODEPINK's Medea Benjamin along with the voices of Black, Indigenous, and Latinx leaders on the struggle against US domination and exploitation in this moment of intense political, economic, and social crisis.

Taking action with CODEPINK

During the three days of the People's Summit, CODEPINK staffed a table with information about our campaigns where people had the opportunity to send messages of solidarity to the people of Venezuela, Nicaragua and Cuba and also to take action by calling their representatives in order to demand a review of our foreign policy towards Cuba. You can take action too. Check out our Cuba page.

Mobilization

We took to the streets with hundreds of activists to march to the LA Convention Center, where the Biden admin is hosting the ‘Summit of Exclusion,’ to demand an end to US imperialism, colonialism & hegemony!
