I am a voting constituent of yours and a donor as well. You have represented my issues fairly all during your term of office. I feel that it is critical that this administration not be allowed to lead us into yet another Middle East War Disaster. For an entirely bogus set of threats and behaviors, most of which our ‘allies’ (Saudi Arabia, Israel, the Gulf States), practice frequently and aggressively. Bolton, et al, have an obsession with Iran that verges on the hysterical. Please stop them from this cruel debacle.
I have lived and worked in Iran, my husband is Iranian, we are both agnostic, and do not feel that Religious Governments serve the needs of the people well, including those of Iran. We would like to see a secular government, but having lived through many changes/revolutionary times, it seems clear to me that overturning governments is a very dangerous business for which the US is singularly unprepared to deal. The disastrous aftermaths of our attempt to impose ‘democracy’ in country after country has left the Middle East in a shambles. Tyrannical governments are awful, chaos is even worse and more difficult to manage toward positive governance.
Do not let these reckless war hawks drag us into another illegal invasion of a sovereign nation.
We are destroying any trace that remains of what the US used to stand for in the world and the good will it brought.

“Just for an example of the challenge the Trump administration faces in isolating Iran economically, Iranian trade with Denmark grew 11% in 2017, but the kicker is that Iranian exports to Denmark grew nearly 38%, giving Iran a highly favorable balance of payments. Denmark is hardly Venezuela. It is a conservative, small northern European country that belongs to NATO. But like much of Europe it has embraced the 2015 nuclear deal, which removed international economic sanctions on Tehran. The Republicans in the US Congress have never accepted that deal and have tried to spike it by keeping US sanctions on Iran and, mafia-like, threatening third parties who trade with Iran. But the world increasingly just doesn’t care. Denmark and Iran did $320 mn. in trade last year and that is small potatoes compared to what the rest of Europe has in mind.”

Trump continues to do the bidding for Israel who wants war with Iran. Washington needs to go to the source of the problem, Israel!

I am deeply disturbed by this ongoing US Imperialism and constant interventionist war footing. We’ve already overthrown the Iranian government for oil in the 50s when Kermit Roosevelt initiated a CIA plan that over threw Mossadegh…and here we go again… it must stop… meanwhile, the US is attempting this same nonsense in Venezuela as well.

Humanity’s only possibility of existing is threading the needle, each one reach one, teach one to turn 360 degrees around, back to the evolution and the future it will only have if we each do. Walking nature’s balance, giving back to it’s abundance, “…we(e),…”, of illimitable potential, indivisible as life, are to be this day what it is to be this day. Thanx :) reality (diffabled, non-socialist green)

“I hate war as only a soldier who has lived it can, only as one who has seen its brutality, its futility, its stupidity.” —Dwight D. Eisenhower

“How far can you go without destroying from within what you are trying to defend from without?” —Dwight D. Eisenhower

“War settles nothing.” —Dwight D. Eisenhower

“We will bankrupt ourselves in the vain search for absolute security.” —Dwight D. Eisenhower

“I think that people want peace so much that one of these days government had better get out of their way and let them have it. —Dwight D. Eisenhower

“During the war years, Eisenhower earned his five stars because he proved to be a diligent, effective leader who could think strategically. After the war, Eisenhower became president of Columbia University and later, the 34th President of the United States. But Eisenhower didn’t achieve his leadership successes because he was particularly charismatic or because he was a brilliant orator with sweeping visions. He was a leader because he was adept at maneuvering within political circles. He preferred to move agendas forward and get things done rather than advance his own ego” -Dwight D. Eisenhower

Can Trump’s withdrawal from the nuclear treaty with Iran be overridden?
What can be done to reinstate the treaty?
How does Trump have such unilateral power in a tripartite government?
