IRAN IS NOT THE COUNTRY THAT ATTACKED THE U.S. IN THE YEAR 2001. THE SAUDIS DID IT. THEY HAVE BEEN DEMONIZING IRAN AS A COUNTRY OF TRAITORS AND TERRORISTS. RIGHT NOW, MIKE POMPEO IS IN SAUDI ARABIA THE COUNTRY THAT ATTACKED THE U.S. FOR COUNSELING THE SAUDIS FROM A POSSIBLE STRIKE AGAINST IRAN. DONALD TRUMP HAS CREATED A BIG POLITICAL NOISE IN THE MIDDLE EAST ON THE USE OF A DRONE IN IRANIAN SKIES.

No unconstitutional war with Iran. The American people do not have an appetite for another costly war. Imposing sanctions is also an economic war affecting the civilian population and children. We need a President for peace to change the current U.S. foreign policy that’s bent on waging endless wars on our troubled world. Instead, we can help to heal the world by offering our constructive efforts and be a good example for other countries to follow!

Iran is a Peaceful Nation, it does not wage wars around the globe.

“Yes, people in the Japanese foreign Ministry are suggesting that the U.S. or Israel might have staged “false flag” attacks to justify a military attack on Iran. It’s good that they’re wondering.”
“Japan has every reason to seek cordial relations with a fellow Asian nation it has traded with since the eighth century. Japan has been one of Iran’s largest oil customers. The U.S. command that Japan end all trade with Iran offends national dignity.”

“Instead, the U.S. is associated with lies; calculated, dishonest manipulation of information to condition public opinion; massive, intrusive global surveillance and violation of billions of persons’ privacy; persecution of whistle-blowers who reveal its war crimes, record of prison torture, and systemic political corruption. So when these war mongers ask the world to join them in condemning Iranian attacks in the Gulf of Oman, the world necessarily responds: “Wait…we don’t believe you any more… You’ve cried ‘wolf’ too many times…””

“Meanwhile Japan (the world’s third largest economic power, just ahead of Germany) also doubts the U.S. accusations against Iran, designed to justify war. Prime Minister Abe Shinzo was in Iran holding talks with top leaders when a Japanese-owned tanker bound for Singapore was attacked by what the U.S. claims was an Iranian attack.”

CAUSE: the disclosure of $177MILLION (that we know of) with which Sheldon Adelson BRIBED Trump and the Republicans ….
EFFECT: Trump has diverted American resources to granting Sheldon Adelson’s every wish for a FOREIGN nation.
EFFECT: Trump has NOT fulfilled his DUTY and Promises to the American People as he has focused on Israel.
EFFECT: Trump is attempting to embroil this Nation in a foreign war for Israel that is NOT in America’s best interests, through blatant LIES. The only things keeping us out war right now has been the incompetent BUMBLING of the CIA/MOSSAD provocations.
CURE: Trump, Adelson, Kushner need to go on trial for treason.

Sure, we all remember the lies that dragged us into the Iraq war. We remember the hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians murdered and American soldiers who were lost in a senseless war. I urge you to lift the economic sanctions which are hurting the Iranian people,, rejoin the nuclear deal and promote diplomacy to stop the war on Iran. Stop the mad calls for unnecessary and unprovoked attacks on Iran!

Activism is part of discipleship, but the difference is that our goal can never be the annihilation of other people. As followers of The Way, our goal is the redemption of all people … even those who stand against us.

Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen is a co-sponsor of S-1039, No unconstitutional War with Iran. Senator Ben Cardin is working on a statement, which will be available on his website. Likewise with Rep. Elijah Cummings.

It is a sad testimony of our ‘civilization’ that citizens must plead with their ‘leaders’ to refrain from using war as an instrument of foreign policy. It is simply incredible that the USA considers other societies dispensable because we have more killing capacity than compassion.

This is my amended first paragraph: " Overall, daily, I am aghast at how little power, presence, or principle the Kansas Congressional Delegation exhibits in reining in and removing this tragedy of a President and administration. But more immediately, I fear the Trump administration’s unpredictable (or is it predictable?) fanning of flames for war with Iran. I am deeply concerned that the Trump administration is provoking a military confrontation and is bypassing Congress’ authority to declare war."

The word “WAR” is used in US Media as a euphemism for what USA is actually doing= invasion.
US is INVADING yet another country.
thus your headline of letter should read: “Congress: support legislation to prevent invasion of Iran”
anyways, that’s just my 2 cents worth.

I am not worried for all these war mongering of Mr Bolton and tail wagging of Sec Pompeo to his drum beating. Pentagon is wise enough to assess the cost / benefit analysis of such a conflict. They are not going for that ..
